• Imposition of significant financial penalties— the fines increase based on the number of individuals whose data is involved, the nature of the violation, and the financial turnover of the violating entity.

  
  

• Enforcement process: Authorities may issue administrative warnings, orders to cease violations, and financial penalties for continued non-compliance. Appeals can be filed with the Magistrate’s Court (instead of the District Court), with an option for an internal review before filing an administrative petition.

  
  

• Expanded investigative and supervisory powers: Inspectors will have the authority to conduct investigations, require individuals to identify themselves and provide documents, enter premises where databases are used, seize items suspected of being related to an offense, request judicial orders (e.g., search and seizure orders, computer access orders), and conduct criminal investigations.
